Sympatec Expands in South East Asia
Office Opening in Bangkok
On 30 April, Sympatec celebrated the opening of its new office in Bangkok. Our Thai office will serve as a central hub for South East Asia, extending our presence across Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia together with our trusted local agents.

A Celebration of Tradition and Innovation
The opening ceremony combined cultural tradition with festive celebration. Our Thailand team - Regional Manager South East Asia, Atipong Saiyud, and Service Engineer, Alongkorn Kongwassakulnee - hosted a day full of highlights.
Local Buddhist monks and temple dancers honoured the event with a blessing ceremony, bringing good fortune and positive energy to the new office. Guests from InnoLab magazine and regional partners enjoyed an impressive traditional dance performance, before the celebrations concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Managing Director, Dr Sebastian Röthele.
The event was rounded off with a symbolic exchange of gifts. Dr Röthele and Mr Pankewitz, Sales Manager Asia, presented our team in Thailand with a reproduction print of an 1830 drawing of the Dorothea mine near Clausthal - located on today’s Pulverhaus site, Sympatec’s headquarters. The artwork reflects both the company’s roots in a region shaped by mining and the traditions and innovations of its founding location. In return, Mr Saiyud and Mr Kongwassakulnee gifted their German colleagues a hand-painted Thai Benjarong porcelain cup with saucer, a fine symbol of Thai craftsmanship. As a further gesture, all participants received a small cactus, the identity symbol of Sympatec.
As part of Sympatec's commitment to supporting education and local talent, scholarships were awarded to outstanding students in recognition of their academic achievements.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue our journey of growth in South East Asia, building strong partnerships and contributing to the region’s future success.
