PICTOS
On-line Image Analysis

The unique combination of dry dispersion and high speed image analyis is now available for on-line applications in process environments.

The on-line image anlyser PICTOS
with vibratory feeder VIBRI/L

PICTOS combines the components of the high speed image analysing sensor QICPIC and the dry disperser RODOS in a rigid stainless steel housing. As with the on-line laser diffraction sensor MYTOS it can be connected directly to the representative sampler TWISTER or the vibratory feeder VIBRI. The current size range from 5 µm to 3.5 mm is covered by 3 measuring ranges. Communication and control over long distances is performed by a built-in 100MBit/1GBit TCP-IP network. The unit is operated by the WINDOX 5 software, which is fully compliant to CFR 21 Rule 11.

QICPIC & OASIS
Dry and Wet Dispersion for Image Analysis and Laser Diffraction

The unique combination OASIS of powerful dry dispersion and wet dispersion in a closed loop set-up is now available for use with our image analysis and laser diffraction sensors.

The dry and wet disperser OASIS
mounted in the measuring zone
of the image anylser QICPIC

The new wet disperser SUCELL/L is available as an analyser add-on for RODOS/L. The cuvette position is aligned by software for optimum sharpness of the images (auto-focus). Small quantities of samples can be analysed fully automatic in a closed loop arrangement with a 400 ml basin, flow cuvettes with optical path length selectable from 0.2 mm to 2 mm, a built-in 60W sonication unit and a peristaltic pump. For even smaller sample quantities a small volume adapter (SVA) is available as an option.

QICPIC & LIXELL
Flexible Wet Dispersion Unit

LIXELL is the ultimate choice for the most flexible wet dispersing system with our image analysis and laser diffraction sensors.

The flexible wet disperser LIXELL
mounted to the measuring zone
of the image analyser QICPIC

It comprises a flow cell and connections at the front, top or rear to external dosing units, such as a pump, a syringe etc. and a container. The cuvette position is aligned by software for optimum sharpness of the images (auto-focus). Sample volumes down to 20 ml can be measured. Different flow cuvettes with optical path length from 0.2 to 2mm are available. They are automatically identified by wireless RFID technology.

Extension of the Measuring Ranges for QICPIC

In combinaton with the new wet dispersing units SUCELL/L and LIXELL the measuring ranges of the image analysis sensor QICPIC have been expanded. Now the following measuring ranges are available:

M8: 20µm to 20,480µm (6,820µm)
M7: 10µm to 10,240µm (3,410µm)
M6 5µm to 5,120µm (1,705µm)
M5: 3.3µm to 3,413µm (1,135µm)
M4: 2µm to 2,048µm (682µm)

The values in brackets represent ISO 13322-2.

WINDOX 5.2.3 consolidates the Progress into the Image Analysis of Fibres.

This software version released at the ACHEMA 2006 does not only include the support for the latest instruments and dispersion units PICTOS, OASIS/L and LIXELL, it also expands the possibilities for the sophisticated analysis of complex fibres.

Now fibre lenght (LeFi), fibre diameter (DiFi) and the curl index (CI) can be used in any reports, diagrams and galleries for the characterisation of fibres.
